FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your Questions Answered
IS FENCING A DANGEROUS SPORT?
No, fencing is not more dangerous than any other sport. At all times coaches make sure that athletes can train in a safe environment and use all the required protective gear. Bruises can happen from time to time, but they are a normal part of an athlete life.
ONE TO ONE LESSON: HOW DO I BOOK?
As soon as you get to the club, speak with one of our coaches and book your own one to one lesson. This works on a first come first serve basis and there are limited number of lessons available each session.
Please note that in the U12 age group, one to one lessons are included, so no need to book them.
HOW DO I JOIN THE CLUB?
It is very simple. First, create an account on our website. Then, once the admin has approved it, simply purchase the membership you prefer. Regardless of the age group, if you join in September you will have the opportunity to pay for the whole season in advance with a discount on your membership fee.
If you join after September, the only option available is to pay the yearly fee with monthly payments.
CAN I PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE MEMBERSHIP FROM MY WEBSITE ACCOUNT?
Yes, you can. Buy your first membership, then repeat the process for the second one. After the purchase, allow few minutes to receive your confirmation email.
DO YOU OFFER ANY FAMILY DISCOUNT?
Yes, we do! A 10% discount is offered to all family members who join the club after the first one. Contact us to receive the discount code to apply at checkout.
I WANT TO ENTRY A COMPETITION, WILL THE CLUB SUPPORT ME?
Yes! Our club is a competitive one and coaches are ready to support fencers during competitions.
At the beginning of the season the club will post a list of competitions coaches will support, but fencers are welcome to ask for our support for competitions not on the list.
Please note that coaching at competition is a paid service.
DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO RECEIVE SUPPORT DURING A COMPETITION?
Our coaches do their best to support all of our fencers, but sometimes the expenses to send one or both our coaches to a competition are too high. This is why we ask a small contribution to fencers who are entering a supported competition.
